The African angelshark is a distinctive shark species known for its flattened body and broad pectoral fins that resemble an angel's wings. It is a bottom-dwelling predator found along the coasts of Africa. This shark uses ambush tactics to hunt its prey on the sea floor.

Where they live

Lives in saltwater coastal regions of Africa, found in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. It inhabits waters down to depths of nearly 500 meters, often resting on the seabed in sandy or muddy areas.
