The Atlantic sailfish is a fast and agile predator known for its distinctive sail-like dorsal fin. It frequents warm ocean waters and is prized by anglers for its fighting ability. These fish often hunt small pelagic fish and squid near the surface or at moderate depths.

Where they live

Found in warm Atlantic and Mediterranean saltwaters, usually near the surface down to 200 meters. They sometimes migrate near shore and can be found alone or in small groups.
