Arripis georgiana
The Australian herring is a schooling pelagic fish found mainly in the estuaries and coastal waters of southern Western Australia. It is an active predator that prefers clear waters and plays an important role in local fisheries. These fish are known for their streamlined, fusiform bodies and are popular among anglers.

Found in brackish and saltwater estuaries along southern Western Australia, especially in clear, shallow waters. They often school in large numbers and use nursery areas in southwestern estuaries and southern gulfs.
