The bay whiff is a small flatfish found in North American coastal waters. It has a short, deep body shape and dwells from shallow areas down to 75 meters. This species feeds on a variety of small fish and benthic organisms.
Where they live
Bay whiff inhabit shallow to moderately deep waters in freshwater, brackish, and saltwater environments across the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico.
