The Black grouper is a large solitary predator found around rocky and coral reefs. It primarily feeds on other fishes as an adult and crustaceans when juvenile. This species is known for its robust body and is a popular target for saltwater anglers.

Where they live

Inhabits rocky and coral reefs in the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico, typically found between 60 to 250 meters deep. Mostly solitary in nature, the Black grouper lives in saltwater regions around North America.
