The blue-spotted stingray is a solitary saltwater species known for its striking blue spots. It typically inhabits sandy areas near coral reefs and often buries itself in the sand for camouflage. This species is a predator, hunting various bottom-dwelling animals in its habitat.

Where they live

Found in saltwater regions of the Pacific and Indian Oceans, this stingray lives mostly on sandy bottoms near coral reefs, from shallow reef flats and lagoons to depths of around 170 meters.
