The Bluefin trevally is a powerful game fish known for its striking blue fins and strong fighting ability. It inhabits coastal reefs and open ocean areas, often found near shorelines and juvenile stages in shallow waters. This species is a skilled predator, feeding on various reef fish and eels.

Where they live

Found in brackish and saltwater environments across the Pacific and Indian Oceans, Bluefin trevally inhabit coastal reefs, inshore areas, and deeper waters down to 190 meters. Juveniles appear seasonally in shallow sandy inshore waters and occasionally in rivers.
