The brassy trevally is a robust predatory fish known for its brassy-green back and fast swimming. It inhabits reefs and lagoons, occasionally entering estuaries and rivers as juveniles. This aggressive hunter feeds mainly on smaller fish.
Where they live
Found in brackish and saltwater from shallow reefs to depths of 50 meters, brassy trevally range across the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. Juveniles often inhabit estuaries and river mouths.
