How to catch Brook trout

The brook trout is a popular game fish known for its beautiful coloration and preference for cold, well-oxygenated freshwater. It can live in rivers, lakes, and reservoirs, and some populations migrate between fresh and saltwater. Juveniles feed on drifting invertebrates and adults prey on small fish and aquatic animals.

Brook trout inhabit cold, clear rivers, lakes, and reservoirs with good oxygen levels, typically at depths between 15 and 27 meters. Found mostly across North America and other continents, they thrive in both freshwater and some brackish environments.
