The Brown smooth-hound is a medium-sized shark found in Pacific saltwaters off North America. It has an elongated body and is a skilled predator hunting various macrofauna. Popular among anglers, it can grow up to about 1 meter long.

Where they live

This shark inhabits shallow to moderately deep Pacific coastal waters, ranging from nearshore areas down to about 280 meters depth. It is common along North American saltwater regions.
