The Bull ray is a large, semipelagic ray found in warm coastal waters. It often inhabits lagoons and estuaries and sometimes forms small groups. This species hunts fish and bottom-dwelling crustaceans and mollusks.

Found in coastal tropical and warm temperate waters of the Atlantic, Indian Ocean, and Mediterranean. Inhabits brackish and saltwater environments including lagoons and estuaries, typically at depths from 10 to 150 meters.
