The channel flounder is a flatfish known for its distinctive shape and ability to blend into the ocean floor. Found in saltwater environments, it primarily hunts smaller marine creatures. It is not typically targeted as a game fish due to its size and behavior.

Where they live

Channel flounder inhabit saltwater regions including the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico. They are found from shallow waters down to depths of around 412 meters.
