The Cocinero, also known as the Barred Jack, is a medium-sized saltwater game fish with a streamlined body. It is valued by anglers in coastal Pacific waters of North America. This species preys on small fish and various bottom-dwelling invertebrates.

Where they live

Found in coastal and oceanic waters up to 50 meters deep along the Pacific coast of North America. Prefers marine environments where it can find small fish and benthic invertebrates.
