The crocodile shark is a small oceanic shark with an elongated body, often found far offshore but sometimes nearshore. It feeds primarily on small pelagic fishes, squids, and shrimp. Despite its name, it is not known as a popular game fish due to its modest size and deep-water habitat.

Where they live

Found in oceanic waters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, typically offshore at depths up to 590 meters; occasionally enters inshore waters.
