The Cuckoo wrasse is a colorful saltwater fish known for its solitary or paired behavior. It builds nests from seaweed and feeds mainly on crustaceans as well as small fish and mollusks. This species is popular among anglers for its vibrant appearance and active hunting style.

Where they live

Found in Atlantic and Mediterranean waters from shallow 2 meters down to 200 meters, most commonly between 40 and 80 meters deep. Prefers littoral zones with seaweed where it nests and hunts.
