The Dorado, also known as Jaw characin, is a powerful freshwater game fish native to South America. It is known for its strong fight and impressive size, reaching up to one meter in length. Adult Dorados are fierce predators, feeding on fish and even birds.

Where they live

Found in freshwater rivers across South America, the Dorado inhabits fast-flowing waters with clear conditions. Juveniles prefer areas rich in insects and crustaceans, while adults roam larger river sections hunting fish and small birds.
