The doublespotted queenfish is a pelagic predator found in inshore waters and mudflats. It has a streamlined, fusiform body adapted for fast swimming. Known for its distinctive double spots, it is also a popular game fish in tropical regions.

Where they live

Occurs in shallow to moderately deep inshore waters of the continental shelf, including both mangrove and non-mangrove mudflats across the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Found in brackish and saltwater environments.
