The European conger is a large eel-like predator found in saltwater. It can grow up to 3 meters long and weigh up to 110 kilograms. This species hunts a variety of fish and cephalopods in the Atlantic and Mediterranean seas.

Where they live

Found in saltwater habitats of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Mediterranean, the European conger inhabits depths from the surface down to around 1170 meters.
