The Fusca drum is a coastal saltwater fish known for its slender body and croaking sound. It inhabits rocky and sandy bottoms and is popular among anglers as a game fish. Juveniles are often found in shallow littoral zones and occasionally in estuaries.
Where they live
Found in saltwater along the coasts of Africa, the Atlantic, Indian Ocean, and Mediterranean regions, favoring rocky and sandy bottoms from 20 to 200 meters deep. Juveniles inhabit shallower littoral areas and sometimes estuaries.
