The Galapagos shark is a robust predator found mainly around continental shelves. It grows quite large and shifts its diet from smaller fish to more sharks and rays as it matures. This species is a strong fighter, popular among game fishers.

Where they live

Found in saltwater continental shelf areas of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, typically from shallow waters down to about 286 meters.
