The green sturgeon is a large, elongated fish known for its striking greenish coloration. It inhabits estuaries and lower river reaches, often migrating considerable distances between fresh and saltwater. As a predator, it feeds primarily on various small fish, insects, and mollusks.
Where they live
Lives in estuaries, lower large rivers, and nearby salt or brackish waters in North America and Pacific regions. Likely spawns in freshwater and can be found from shallow waters down to 80 meters deep.
