How to catch Huchen
Hucho

The Huchen, also known as Danube salmon, is a large freshwater predator with a fusiform body shape. It primarily inhabits moving waters and is known for its impressive size and strength, making it a prized game fish. This species migrates only during spawning and favors deep crevices and riverbank excavations.
Where they live
The Huchen lives mainly in freshwater rivers with strong currents, hiding in deep crevices, under bridges, and along riverbanks in Europe. It is rare in lakes and does not penetrate the Black Sea.
