The Indo-Pacific blue marlin is a large, powerful game fish known for its elongated body and remarkable speed. It inhabits tropical and subtropical waters across the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. This species undertakes seasonal movements and is primarily found near the surface, especially at night.

Where they live

Blue marlin are surface dwellers in tropical to subtropical saltwaters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, often found from surface to 200 meters depth. They favor warm, mixed surface layers and migrate seasonally, especially males.
