The Indo-Pacific king mackerel is a fast, predatory fish found in Indian and Pacific Ocean waters. Juveniles mainly feed on small fish like anchovies, while adults hunt a variety of fish, crustaceans, and squid. It is a popular game fish known for its strength and speed.

Where they live

Found in brackish and saltwater from shallow 15 meters to depths of 200 meters, mainly in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Seasonal coastal movements occur, especially noted around Thailand.
