How to catch Inshore lizardfish
Synodus foetens

The inshore lizardfish is a solitary, elongated predator known for lurking and ambushing prey by burrowing in bottom sediments. It inhabits a variety of inshore environments including shallow bays and deeper channels. This voracious fish is prized as a game fish in coastal waters of the western Atlantic.
Where they live
Found in shallow to deep sand flats, grass beds, and mud bottoms of inshore creeks, bays, lagoons, and continental shelves in the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico. Prefers brackish and saltwater habitats from shore to depths around 200 meters.
