The King Mackerel is a fast, powerful saltwater predator known for its fighting ability. It is often found around outer reef areas and migrates along the US Atlantic coast. These fish mainly feed on smaller fish and occasionally shrimp and squid.
Where they live
King Mackerel inhabit saltwater from shallow reefs to depths around 140 meters, commonly found in the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico. They prefer warmer waters and often travel in large schools.
