The Leopard hind is a small, secretive grouper found in coral reefs. It prefers hiding in caves and crevices, making it elusive. This species hunts smaller fish and crustaceans in reef environments.
Where they live
Found in coral-rich lagoon pinnacles, channels, and outer reef slopes in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Usually stays close to reef caves and crevices from shallow waters down to 40 meters deep.
