The lesser spotted dogfish is a small shark species found in the Atlantic and Mediterranean seas. It has an elongated body and distinctive spots, making it easily recognizable. These sharks move between deeper waters by day and shallow feeding areas at dusk, returning at dawn.

Where they live

Found in saltwater along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts, typically from 10 to 780 meters deep. They move between deeper waters during daylight and shallow areas under 4 meters at dusk near coastal regions.
