The Luvar is a large, solitary oceanic fish known for its unique diet of jellyfish and other gelatinous plankton. It inhabits both surface and deeper waters in the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Despite its size, it is not generally targeted as a game fish.
Where they live
Found in oceanic and epipelagic zones of the Atlantic and Mediterranean, ranging from the surface down to 200 meters. Typically solitary and inhabits saltwater environments.
