The Mediterranean spearfish is a large, elongated saltwater fish found in the Mediterranean Sea. It grows up to 2.4 meters and is a powerful predator hunting various marine creatures. Juveniles are preyed upon by large pelagic fishes, but adults face few natural predators.
Where they live
Found in Mediterranean saltwater environments from the surface down to 200 meters deep, the Mediterranean spearfish inhabits open waters where it hunts actively.
