The Pink dentex is a predatory saltwater fish known for its robust body and strong hunting skills. It grows up to about one meter long and is prized by anglers for its fighting ability. It inhabits rocky and sandy bottoms from shallow waters near shore to deeper continental slope areas.
Where they live
Found in the Atlantic and Mediterranean seas, Pink dentex lives on rocky and rubble bottoms and sandy areas near rocks from 20 to 220 meters deep. Juveniles stay close to shore while adults move offshore near the continental slope.
