The pointed sawfish is a large, elongated ray known for its long, toothed snout used to hunt prey. It inhabits coastal waters, estuaries, and possibly rivers in tropical and subtropical regions. This predator feeds mainly on small fish and cuttlefish.

Where they live

Found in coastal waters, estuaries, and possibly rivers across parts of Africa, Asia, the Pacific, and the Indian Ocean, favoring sheltered bays with sandy bottoms up to 40 meters deep.
