The Prowfish is a unique saltwater species known for its short and deep body shape. Juveniles live pelagically, while adults prefer rocky bottom habitats. This predator primarily feeds on gelatinous zooplankton and small marine creatures.

Where they live

Prowfish inhabit deep rocky areas of the Pacific waters off North America, ranging from the surface down to 675 meters. Juveniles are pelagic before settling to demersal zones as they mature.
