The Queen triggerfish is a colorful reef predator known for its strong jaws and unique feeding techniques. It inhabits coral reefs, where it uses suction and biting to feed on a variety of hard-shelled prey. This species is prized by anglers for its fighting ability and distinct appearance.
Where they live
Dwells around coral reefs from shallow sandy or grassy flats to deeper reef slopes in the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, and Atlantic coasts of North America. Usually found near the bottom between 2 and 275 meters deep.
