The roughscale flounder is a small flatfish with a short and deep body shape. It lives along muddy and sandy bottoms of the continental shelf. This species mainly hunts small bottom-dwelling fishes.

Where they live

Found in saltwater Pacific regions on muddy and sandy continental shelf bottoms between 30 and 40 meters deep.
