The sharptooth houndshark is a robust predator found in shallow coastal waters. It often forms schools during summer and feeds on a variety of crabs, lobsters, fish, and smaller sharks. This species is hardy and adapts well to captivity.

Where they live

Inhabits shallow bays, sandy beaches, and rocky shores along African coasts in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, from 1 to 50 meters deep.
