The shovelnose guitarfish is an elongated-bodied predator found in brackish and saltwater environments. It hunts macrofauna such as clams and is a notable game fish along the Pacific coast of North America. This species can grow up to about 1.2 meters in length and weigh nearly 10 kilograms.
