The Silver-cheeked toadfish is a large, robust pufferfish known for its silvery cheeks and formidable size. It inhabits offshore reefs and sandy seafloors, where it hunts benthic invertebrates. Though not a game fish, it is an impressive species found across multiple oceans.
Where they live
Found in saltwater offshore reefs and sandy benthic areas from shallow depths around 18 meters down to 100 meters. Distributed widely across the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian Ocean, and Mediterranean Sea.
