The Smalleye smooth-hound is a small shark known for its elongated body and preference for both brackish and saltwater habitats. It primarily hunts crustaceans and occasionally preys on bony fishes, squids, and coelenterates. Typically found on muddy, sandy, and calcareous bottoms of the continental shelf, it can be found from shallow waters to depths of 900 meters.
