The Tor barb, also known as Mahseer, is a prized freshwater game fish found in Asian rivers and lakes. It has a deep, fusiform body and thrives in rocky-bottomed streams. Known for seasonal migrations, this bottom feeder grows best in river habitats.

Found in Asian freshwater rivers and lakes, especially in rapid streams with rocky bottoms. Migrates toward headwaters at rainy season start and downstream at season end, staying mostly in shallow to moderate depths.
